From The President Greetings and Welcome to a NEW Year. With a new year comes a new slate of officers, but first let me say a tremendous THANK YOU to Ricky Hix for his job as President in 2006. WELCOME to our new officer team for 2007. They are:

| January 2007 Meeting Our next meeting will be back at the MCHS cafeteria on Monday, January 15th at 7 PM. Our sponsor will be Southland Power and Fence Supply. They will be bringing us information on a new mineral supplement they are marketing and remind us of all the other products and services they have to offer us. Of course, everyone knows Lee and Sadie. Southland started business selling only Gallagher electric fence supplies and Priefert cattle equipment. Appproximately 9 years ago, they started installing fence for the public. In 2005, Southland moved their facility south of the railroad in Colbert to a better location with added parking. Southland has about anything for your farm and ranch needs except chemicals and fertilizer. From fence to equipment, to feed and animal health, Southland will supply just about anything you need in today's Cattle Industry. Go by and see Lee or any of his staff located at 752 E. Fifth Avenue in Colbert or give them a call at 706-788-2498. |

| Ag Center As most of you know, the property for the NEW AG CENTER has been purchased. The closing was on December 20th. Now it's on with the planning of the building. The PLANNING and DEVELOPMENT committee has been actively engaged in finding a design that we can work toward. FUNDS have been coming in at a steady pace, BUT don't forget that this is a BIG project and much more is needed. So help any way that you can!! |

| Membership If you need to renew your membership, please see Ann or Ricky at the meeting. We will have a current membership list available. Also, try and bring a guest. We're always in the market for new members who are interested in the cattle industry. |

| Dates to Remember Thursday, January 18th - Madison Co. Young Farmers meeting at 7pm in the MCHS Ag Classroom. David Gazda will be speaking on "Using EPD's in the Commercial Herd". Saturday, January 20th - Greenwood Angus Bull Sale in Bowman. Lunch at 11:00, sale starts at 12:00. Monday, February 19th - Madison County Cattlemen will meet at the MCHS cafeteria at 7pm. |
